Beyond the Battle Walk

As we approached the first anniversary of Vivian’s passing in February 2025, we felt led to find a meaningful and impactful way to gather our family and friends to remember Vivian.

Vivian was a dedicated athlete, always striving to improve herself physically, mentally, and spiritually. From an early age, Vivian participated in multiple sports. She played lacrosse competitively for many years and fell in love with field hockey as a high school freshman. Before and during her cancer treatment, Vivian strived to eat healthy and exercise. She particularly enjoyed running and walking at Lake Royal in our neighborhood.

To honor Vivian’s goal to maintain a healthy body and mind, Beyond the Battle was born and our first event took place at Robinson Secondary School on February 8, 2025. In just over a month, we threw together an event that brought together over 200 people from our community and raised over $19,000 to fund research to find a cure for Ewing Sarcoma!
